At NWB when we plan out projects they can all be of varying time scales.
This week being 3 days it was a good to have a swift and welcoming challenge.
With wild garlic growing in abundance on the Rotherfield estate we went on an explore of our beautiful community.
– mile hike- good exercise
– wild garlic found
– cleaned and prepped
– chopped and mixed
– Pesto and garlic butter produced
– the best plate display (ready for our forage cook book!)
ENGAGE- rambling through the county side – together …( sense of belonging)
EXPLORE- who doesn’t like a mixer? Noisy? Wear ear defenders!
Tasting- try something different? It’s very very GREEN!
Surprise – it’s tastes nice!
EXTEND- families enjoyed the recipe and reports of how delicious the pesto was. Will definitely make this at home!
